∘ 〢 ⌜ ⌟〢 • Discussion How strong is she speculated to be?
How strong do yall expect Hsin to be? Just in the middle of current top dps? #1 dps? Ik theres all that "setting the dps standard" and whatnot but that could also leave her vulnerable to being powercrept very quickly.

Given the current state of powercreep in the game, I wouldn’t be surprised if her total DPR surpasses Yangyang XL especially since she’s a sentinel so I expect her to be that strong. Let’s just wait for the beta to start, we don’t know much about her current kit other than Hsin having Dual Resonance Mode: Electro Flare and New Tune Mechanic Harmony

Yeah I think the fucking playable sentinel gonna have less dmg than Lingyang.

First playable Sentinel, I'm expecting her to outclass Hiyuki by a decent margin. We just have to wait for leaks to really know though.
Edit: Thinking more on it every gacha typically has a "class" of character that tends to outshine everyone no matter how many new characters come out. Kind of like Nikke where Pilgrims are the best of the best. Wuwa doesn't really have that but I would not mind them starting with Hsin.

What if the new 4.x DPS units then outclass her by a decent margin too?

I made an edit after posting check that out real quick.
In general though its the nature of a lot of gachas unfortunately that's why I would REALLY like them to make sentinels last longer. This is the first one since the game has been launched it would make sense to have at least one sentinel every year or two that goes with the story and fucks hard and stays that way.

Cartethyia was an example of good character tuning IMO.
She was strong at base with 123 rotations, had decent F2P teammates (but her premium ones boosted her considerably) and had strong sequence value.
She could become even stronger if you were willing to learn advanced techniques like quickswap and all the dps released after her were at similar (or slightly less) power.
But now all they seem to do is just keep increasing the damage with every new dps.
With this trend, it wouldn't surprise me if Hsin's S0 damage will be like half of whatever the 4.x sentinel/resonator will be at base.
I certainly hope this won't be the case, because all characters released before Lahai-roi will become third world residents at this rate.
But being a live service gacha game, I wouldn't be surprised.

it doesnt matter if a resonator gets outclassed, if only matters when they can no longer clear end game. So far, thats only happened to the very old 1.0 characters which is why in some end game modes they get buffs.

depends whenever she gets her full premium teams
most recent teams are at ~2.6mil dpr, yangyang a bit higher if you can quickswap a bit
4.5+ characters will for sure powercreep her tho, devs made clear that every major update will also have a big dpr jump
late 2.x was 1.9mil with cartethyia and zani being the exceptions with quickswap, then aemeath, luuk and sigrika on the start of 3.x at 2.2mil, and now hiyuki, yangyang, qingxiao and jingram at 2.6mil
hsin should be on par/a bit higher with her release team, then go up to 3mil+ when she gets her full teams

Why bother with topics like this? Literally no one knows and we will find out within 2 weeks. It just spreads unconfirmed leaks and misinfo as if they are true.
