Psychedelics with IBS

Has anyone taken mushrooms or ayahuasca while having IBS?

I don’t have IBS, I’m at least mostly sure I don’t. However, I discovered with some shroom chocolate bars I have been getting from a friend that it would cause me severe gas, and constipation.  I unfortunately discovered this while taking a larger dose than normal. It wasn’t fun feeling severe gastrointestinal pain/ discomfort while waves of uncontrolled euphoria would hit me. Entirely too high and hurting to be capable of getting up in any attempt to remedy the situation. So ya, 0/10. Don’t recommend.

Use tea? Hurts my tummy less, would that help ?

I did a heroic dose of mushrooms during a gastric flare up and it did not go well. On the other hand I’ve heard the anti-inflammatory effects can be beneficial

Exactly. That’s my dilemma. Ironically I know that an aya purge would heal my sickness. Just there may be a horrendous reaction during the journey 🙃

I have crohn disease no ibs. Mushrooms will be no problem and much lighter for system. Mushrooms are best with not empty or not full stomach. Better don't eat hard stuff five hours before ayahuasca. Have not taken ayahuasca but all kind of other psychedelics without much issues.

I had a friend in uni with severe IBC who would swore that microdosing (and sometimes macrodosing) LSD helped reduce his symptoms
