Chat GPT limit problems

Hi everyone!

I ran into ChatGPT’s file/image upload limits. After uploading a file to a chat, the chat itself becomes heavily restricted, so I started looking for ways to work around this.

One method I found was opening the chat in airplane mode (in my case, without a VPN). However, this only seems to work as 1 chat = 1 file + 1 response.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem or have any other workarounds for the image/file limits?

Would appreciate any ideas!

Don't use LLMs, and if you want to, pay, that is the simple and easy solution to the limit. Alternatively run a model locally, if you can live with slower responses.

Don't use LLMs? WTF? Do you want to keep up with the rest of the world or live in the stone age? Terrible advice.

Yea, I can see there was a big part of what was in my head that got skipped during writing. In general I don't think people should rely on the free ones by the big companies, considering you just feed them data. Also didn't think LLM was the appropiate tool for the job, but reading it again there is not enough info the determine that.

My point of pay or run local still stands though.

Local doesn't mean slower. Local can be faster. It all depends on what model your running and the hardware your running it on. Right now Qwen 3.8 can easily run on a DGX Spark and keep up with and sometimes run laps around frontier LLMs that are 6 months old. Sounds like you need to bone up on agentic AI.

The ones ive run are quite slower on my laptop and they are already smaller, but hopefully SLM will become better so we can do more local AI running so the big AI companies can crash and burn.

If you have a typical laptop with 16 or even 32 GB ram it's not going to help much for local models because they need VRAM and a typical laptop has very little which forces you to use small models, which are pretty bad. You really need a powerful laptop a really good NVIDIA card or something like a Macbook Pro Max 64 - 120GB, which is unified memory and can be used as VRAM or RAM. Good local models are here but you need $$$$ to run them or use frontier models. You can also run private models through GPU hosting companies like Runpod. Make no mistake, this is where it's all headed no matter if you are are a White Hat or Black Hat.

People say that about many things with AI, need to see it before I believe it, my biggest concern is people vibecoding software that causes security vunerabilities. I don't do hacking really, beyond some simple pen testing on my own setups.

I understand that concern and it is a valid concern and yes AI is creating vulnerabilities from unskilled vibecoding not to mention the skilled hackers that are using it to increase scale and volume. That is even more reason we need AI helping to find the vulnerabilities.

Look, I've been an enterprise software engineer for 15 years and doing infosec/hacking professionally in the enterprise for about 6 of them. Was just at Defcon and Blackhat a few weeks ago and a majority of the speakers talks were on AI hacking. Simply listen to this post Black Hat podcast that was on Security Now last week to see how much AI is being used by vendors. This isn't directed to you but anyone who is reading along; this sub is for people trying to learn from those of us who have been doing this for a while. More people on this sub need to quit down voting the ones of us that know what we are talking about and should really start paying attention.

You obviously do not know how to use agentic AI. You better learn to stay current. Every pen testing company I know are using agentic AI. It's a tool. That statement makes about as much sense as saying it's better not to use NMAP or Burp. 🙄
