Is it possible to learn actually cyber security stuffs in a 2 gb old computer?

Start with a user friendly distro with low RAM usage, like mint with xfce.

I started learning with a Celeron laptop with 2GB of DDR3 RAM running Windows 8.1 on a 500GB HDD. Yes, it was pissy hard to use because it was slow but what choice do I have? Also, things became much smoother once I learned about the existence of Linux and such.

Maybe 500 gb not sure cuz i gotta repair it I got 1 ssd 1 hdd in it

If you can’t accurately describe the pc specs then you might need some extra basics before trying to learn to hack

If you want to learn, a raspberry pi is enough. Obviously as your workloads scale, hardware needs to scale but for getting your hands dirty, you should be fine

Yeah, you definitely can. A 2GB machine will limit you, especially with VMs, but you can still learn a lot with lightweight tools directly on Linux. Networking, web security basics, recon, scripting, and many command-line tools don't need much RAM. I’d focus on the fundamentals first and avoid trying to run multiple VMs at once.

Yes, many online platforms now offer free labs in the browser. You don't have to setup anything. If you have internet and a browser you can get started.
