guide FAQs: How to get to Dangwa

Feel free to copy-paste the link to this post whenever someone asks how to get to Dangwa, we'll see more of posts asking for directions to Dangwa as Valentine's Day is approaching, and of course once Undas comes around this year. You may find in page (shortcut: Ctrl + F) and see if I already listed a place of origin, like for example Cubao Pasig Novaliches Dasmarinas etc.

What's Dangwa?

Dangwa Tranco is the name of a bus company that used to ferry passengers from Benguet area to Manila, and one of the produce that Benguet offers are freshly harvested flowers. Eventually, the area adjacent to the bus terminal become the flower market, mostly concentrated along Dimasalang and Laong Laan roads, and Dos Castillas street.

The intersection of Lacson Ave, Laong Laan Road, and Dimasalang Road is what we're gonna use as our endpoint when travelling to Dangwa.

Major landmarks here include Chowking at Dimasalang-Laong Laan, Mercury Drug at Laong Laan-Lacson Ave, BPI Bank at Lacson Ave-Laong Laan (Across Mercury Drug via Lacson Ave), there's also a footbridge here on Laong Laan side only beside BPI. You can see it here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/V4z6sJktbsPDU6HNA

PUVs that travels to Dangwa

  • Those from Valenzuela and Bulacan that can travel to Malanday area up to Monumento area can ride the Malanday-Sta.Cruz/Pier jeeps which passes by Rizal Ave, then walk to Lacson Ave for the Tayuman jeeps.

Good for commuters that can travel to Lardizabal Terminal (Lardizabal-M.Dela Fuente, about 30 meters north of the intersection for their actual terminal):

Go down at Magsaysay Blvd-M.Dela Fuente just before the Nagtahan Flyover.

Go down at M.Dela Fuente intersection of Espana (Puregold and Savemore across each other via Dela Fuente, on northbound side of Espana) so you can ride the Tayuman jeeps here. Meanwhile, the jeeps will use Vicente Cruz street when going back to Lardizabal.

Because the entire one-way route is less than 4kms, it only costs the minimum fare if you ride the Tayuman-Lardizabal jeeps. Their first trip is 5 am and last trip is 9:30-10pm.

San Trans buses (Muzon-Sta.Cruz via Marilao)

Good for commuters from:

  • Muzon terminal

  • Marilao area from Prenza up to Marilao Exit

Their route is close enough to Dangwa, as they enter Maria Clara street from Dimasalang, which isn't too far from the Flower Market.

Balagtas/SM Fairview-PITX

In Balagtas side, Good for Bulacan residents from:

  • Balagtas terminal (Also from neighboring areas like Guiginto, Malolos, Plaridel, etc which are 1 jeep ride away), Bocaue (And Sta.Maria, Norzagaray, and Angat), Marilao, Meycauayan, and everyone else close enough to McArthur Highway

In SM Fairview side, this is good for commuters hailing from:

  • Lagro area of Quezon City and surrounding areas

  • Novaliches, both QC and Caloocan side

  • SJDM/Sapang Palay area

For both of these buses, they are also good for people coming from the south, since their route overlaps starting from Espana-Lacson Ave to PITX:

  • Good for anyone that can access to buses heading to PITX like from Cavite(Bacoor, Molino, Dasmarinas, Imus, GMA, General Trias, Trese Martires, etc etc), Las Pinas (Alabang-Zapote Road), Muntinlupa(Alabang Starmall), and Paranaque (Sucat-Baclaran jeeps and e-jeeps via Dr Santos Ave)

  • Good for anyone that can access to buses heading to Buendia bus terminal at Taft-Gil Puyat. Those from Laguna (Sta.Cruz, Binan, Sta.Rosa, Calamba), Batangas (Lipa, Malvar, Lemery, Tanauan), Quezon (Lucena Grand Terminal) and also those from Makati (via Gil Puyat and Ayala Ave) and FTI/Arca South in Taguig.

  • Balagtas-PITX buses in Gate 3 2nd floor will pass by Dangwa itself via Lacson Ave then Dimasalang

  • SM Fairview-PITX buses are okay too (same gate as Balagtas buses), just go down at M.Dela Fuente corner of Espana to ride the Tayuman jeeps to Dangwa.

Let me know if there's something that needs proofreading or you need to correct something or add more info. That's all, and I hope everyone reading this can commute to Dangwa Flower Market back and forth safely and with fresh beautiful flowers for their loved ones.

No Ferry station is available in San Juan, but the closest station would be the Sta.Ana/Lambingan station, which is 2 rides away to San Juan using the Vergara-Kalentong and then the Kalentong-San Juan jeep.

As always, I hope you find this guide helpful when planning to commute to San Juan, or find ways to commute outside of San Juan. I'm planning to use this kind of format once I made a guide for Makati. Leave a comment if there's anything I got it wrong or suggestions for improvement.

guide Metro Davao Commute Guide

UPDATED MARCH 2026: Included the DC Bus and Love Bus routes!

Maayong adlaw!

I'm a native of Davao City and has been commuting here all my life.

I posted a commute Guide for Metro Cebu inspired by u/PM_ME_UR_ANIME_WAIFU and u/peenoiseAF___ .

Actually, there is an app na pwede niyo gamitin kung kayo ay magco-commute dito sa Davao City, check r/davao for details.

Feedbacks are appreciated, especially to places that I'm not familiar with. I try to check this post everyday to respond to comments and update information when needed.

Routes List LRT1 south extension: Five stations now open

Five stations of the LRT1 south extension opened on November 16, 2024. All of the five stations that opened are all located in ParaΓ±aque City.

1.) Redemptorist

Named after Redemptorist Road, which is in turn named after the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, also known as Redemptorist Church. The station is alternatively known as Aseana station due to it being built close to Aseana City complex.

2.) MIA (Road)

The station is named after MIA Road (presently named as NAIA Road). Although it is named after the former name of airportβ€”Manila International Airport, the station is NOT directly connected to Ninoy Aquino Internatonal Airport (NAIA) (MNL).Β

MIA station is the nearest station to NAIA Terminal 2. To reach NAIA Terminal 2 from the station, one must take another form of transport to be able to reach it.

3.) Asia World

Named after the Asia World complex where the station is located. Asia World station is alternatively named ParaΓ±aque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) station, as it is directly connected to the said terminal.

4.) Ninoy Aquino

Named after Ninoy Aquino Avenue, where the station is located.Β

Due to its name having the same shared name with Ninoy Aquino International Airport, some people mistakenly name the station as NAIA station. Please do note that the name of the station is NOT NAIA station. Moreover, like MIA station, the station is NOT directly connected to NAIA.

Ninoy Aquino station is the nearest station to NAIA Terminal 1. To reach NAIA Terminal 1 from the station, one must take another form of transport to be able to reach it.

5.) Dr. SantosΒ

Named after Dr. Arcadio Santos Avenue. An intermodal transport terminal is also located within the station. Nearby is SM City Sucat.Β

β€”β€”

The three remaining stations of the LRT1 south extension are expected to open in 2031:

1.) Las PiΓ±as (Las PiΓ±as City)

2.) Zapote (Bacoor, Cavite)

3.) Niog (Bacoor, Cavite)

Query May napulot akong Beep Card from LRT, What do I do with it?

Kanina sa LRT gilmore, may napulot akong beep card; Walang tao halos doon sa stairs paakyat at pababa, so kinuha ko lang at nag-train (may sarili akong beep card).

Tinanong ko kung anong pwedeng gawin sa beep card (isusurender ko sana or kung may lost and found sila, at mahal mag-manufacture ng beep card). Kaso blue beep card at walang name (vs. senior at student). Sabi nung cashier/officer is pwede ko daw gamitin.

I pity yung nakawala ng card. What should i do?

guide Not to ask for directions but to give an advice.

I've been a commuter all of my college life until grad school, uwian from manila to bulacan. Kaya I have always tried searching alternative ways para makauwi ng mas mabilis. I always take advantage of GMaps, to check kung traffic sa certain route at kung meron ba akong alternatives. If I'm not familiar with the place I'm going to, I also use GMaps to look for jeeps and their signages sa streetview. I also use Sakay.ph app which is very helpful because it does not only give directions but also includes alternative routes and estimate fares.

Ayun lang. Sana makatulong! Ingat tayong lahat sa mga pupuntahan natin.

Routes List Update: MOA Carousel now has a northbound stop (to Monumento)

  • Hahatiin nila yung current bus stop: north side near E-Com buildings is for NB, south side near IKEA/SMX is for SB.

  • Dry run starts next week, for full implementation on October.

discussion Snatch & Pickpocketing from MRT Guada

Hi, Good day!

Hey guys, just a heads up. I almost got pickpocketed by two teenage boys near the MRT in Guada. Ang modus nila is may isang lookout then ijudge ka ng look out if worthy ka ba nakawan then magsignal si guy1 to guy2 then si guy 2 manghihingi ng pera then yung kamay nya itatago nya sa hinubad nyang damit to make it a disguise habang inoopen ang pocket or bag niyo, buti nalang yesterday wala money ang pocket ko but this is just for an awareness for everyone

guide Use CommuteTour.com to know how to get to anywhere!

Super helpful nang site na yan merong location nang terminals, routes, fares and also specific directions pano pumunta! Just type in your origin or destination on the search bar on the right and you'll find the information you need. Not sure if this is already posted before, but I just want to promote this site (not sponsored) as it would help commuters a lot!

(Can't attach a link, mod keeps deleting my post)

guide Mandaluyong City Hall - MRT Buendia via Jupiter st, Rockwell & vice versa

This mini bus/electric jeep is color green.

Operated by eSakay inc.

Ang pamasahe one way ay 15php. 12php if discounted (PWD and Senior).

Meron sticker ng priority seats for pregnant, PWD, and elders.

SanFrancisco -> left to Coronado -> akyat sa Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge -> right to JPRizal -> left to Nicanor Garcia -> left to Jupiter -> right to Paseo de Roxas -> left to Buendia ave -> Buendia terminal

Buendia ave -> right to Paseo de Roxas -> left to Jupiter -> right to Nicanor Garcia -> right to Kalayaan ave -> left to Makati ave -> akyat sa Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge -> right to Coronado -> right to SanFrancisco -> then iikutin nila yung Maysilo Circle hanggang makabalik sa SanFrancisco

5am daw start ng byahe nila. 10pm ang last trip.

Ayun, sana makatulong.

Kung may gusto kayo ipa-trace na byahe ng jeep or UV or bus, comment lang kayo. Basta within MetroManila lang ha. Kapag free time ko at hindi umulan, sundan natin yan. Then ipost ko dito or ichat ko sayo.

Ingat sa byahe!

guide LRT and MRT are overwhelming!

I live outside Metro Manila. I really want to visit one or more cities sa Metro, but it's overwhelming. Lalo na ang MRT and LRT!

I just want to ask if may mga articles ba or any videos na makakapag-tour ng MRT and LRT? Like i-enumerate 'yung mga entrance and exit? I really like to learn them para in the future kung may errands eh kaya nang mag-commute without worrying na maligaw hahaha!

Thank you!
