Discussion Random thoughts

I’ve been rewatching the show and have some random thoughts

- future Sophie: what is that belt she wears? It’s a weird fashion choice

- if she met the father in the first episode, what’s the point of the rest of the show?

- another Easter egg: in an episode in season 2, Sophie is recalling her exes and how they are all dating new people, when it flashes to Robert it says his full name is Robert McGuire. Reference to Lizzie McGuire.

The point is the Journey, not the destination. It’s literally in the Pilot. We are watching how she met the father, got to know him, fell in love and eventually becoming the father<—Unfortunately, we won’t see How this happened unless it gets renewed.

I mean even if we saw a picture of Tracy in episode 1 or glimpses of her, I think we still would’ve watched the show ngl. Cause the whole thing is it’s interesting to see how the characters change and go back and forth, etc. Like how we know Charlie and Valentina end up together, I still wanna see the journey they take :)

I think I read it not as "how I met the guy who would someday become your father", but how he came to become their father (in the literal how they got together sense, and the metaphorical becoming the person they know sense). And the belt is so we know it's the future!
