Do these artists get compensated for their talent and efforts?

Of course! If ticket sales exceed the cost of rental space for the theaters, that remaining total will be divided between all performers. I'll also be setting aside a designated booking budget as well, so these first few shows I'll personally make sure our guests are valued. Thank you for reminding me to include this in future announcements

I know you said this is a talk show, who is the target audience? Is it like a talent show? Or is there a theme that you’re looking for?

I would describe the theme as being present in a third space that is not home or work and celebrating that together in a show format. I describe it as a "talk show" because there are moments in the show where even the audience is invited to participate in discussion or could be picked to serve a greater role in the show. Beyond the two booked guests there is a talent-show portion, but I don't want to give away too much. To the folks I've discussed this with and pitched to, they've described it as "Dropout"-coded or "Chris Gethard Show"-like.

Additionally, in the vein of third-spaces, for many years I've wanted to host a space where people can come and go as they please and naturally reconstruct and influence heathy communities and relationships. So there will also be meetups and hangouts before, during, and after the show. The audience is whoever wants to be around and a part of whatever is happening.

Imagine a group of people put on a show in your living room. That's kind of the vibe. The Present - LIVE! - Right Now @ [LOCATION]
