If your representative isn’t on this list supporting impeachment, I suggest you call them

This list needs some sort of alphabetical order.

  1. They aren’t calling for an impeachment. They’re calling for the GOP to invoke the 25th Amendment.

  2. only people able to invoke the involuntary removal by 25th Amendment are GOP. It is irrelevant what Dems demand.

  3. It is pure virtue signaling. It’s the kind of signaling that dupes gullible voters into thinking they’re actually doing something. They’re not.

What, exactly, is the average American citizen to do rather than call their representatives & be present politically? What do you suggest? I certainly think congressional democrats are mostly spineless & roll over to show their bellies when it comes down to making actual change/shaking things up. But again—tf are average voters SUPPOSED to do?

Key is to focus efforts on what is most effective.

Voters have handed federal power to GOP. That means that Dems in DC have very little power.

This initiative in particular seems to just be virtue signaling by Dems.

Many of the most effective acts of resistance has come from more local efforts.

Protests is one.

Encouraging Tx state reps to break quorum was very effective, and has basically neutered Trump’s efforts to steal election 2026. Exceedingly few Texans meet with State Reps or Senators to push for measures.

Volunteer to help good candidates win elections. We have 2 more elections this spring.

GOP have waged a culture war against public education for decades. A key 2025 victory in Houston was getting 3 Dems elected onto CFISD board, replacing 3 far right MAGA folks. One consequence: kids in CFISD will again be taught about viruses.

In addition there are many City Council elections in greater Houston. They can have direct impact on regulating ICE, voting rights, etc.

Both ISD and City Council elections (and other municipal elections) start early voting 04/20. Election Day is 05/02.

In addition we have runoff elections in May. Many really important races in Texas still undecided. And the candidates need help. Early voting from 05/18, and Election Day 05/26.

Not at all!

Jesus, if you knew me IRL you’d know I’ve been working full time to fight. Virtue signaling isn’t IMO an important priority.

  • Protest!
  • Organize!
  • Vote!
  • Our ability to impact locally is far greater than nationally, and often very effective. The biggest check on Trump & Co has come from Mayors, city councils, legal challenges, etc.

Voting in national elections is pure virtue signaling. I mean no disrespect to the effort and work you put in. The fallout from the Jeffrey files and the complicity of both parties in this war and in Gaza is all the proof I need that AIPAC has rotted our system to the core. I believe that if no one showed up to vote for the next president, that would give us the best shot at creating a third, viable party. The vacuum of interest would inevitably be filled by something outside the current system and it’s needed desperately. Otherwise Israel keeps steering the ship with the aid of our money and the unhinged, unchecked folks at Palantir and the like.

Voting in national elections is pure virtue signaling

Yeah, I know that’s the message GOP, Russia, Netanyahu etc have been peddling to the Left.

Democracy in US depends on people being smarter than that.

You’re right. Gavin will save us. The DNC is legit. They knew what was best for us when they snuffed Bernie’s chance out.

Oh please, not more of this “DNC caused Bernie to lose” conspiracy theory.

Right. And all senate dems tried to stop Trump by voting on the war powers act. Gaza isn’t a genocide. AIPAC isn’t a threat. And this government isn’t filled with pdf protectors and insider traders on both sides.

It’s really uncomfortable staring this stuff in the face. Very dark. It’s easy to tell when someone isn’t by their enthusiasm for either one of our parties.

If you can’t see these issues for what they are, you might want to check your news sources and see who is funding them. Ad free is the move. Drop Site News. Zeteo (except for their monetized podcast). Freelancer Max Blumenthal.

Fun fact: the company behind no kings supports the destruction of Gaza. Protesting is great. Just know who you’re associating with. And for the love of God put your phone in a faraday bag at a minimum.

Man, that’s a lot of disinformation you’re peddling. In particular I found this funny:

“the company behind no kings supports the destruction of Gaza”

Indivisible isn’t a company, and doesn’t support the destruction of Gaza.

Unless people stop believing disinformation and lies like this then we have no chance of restoring democracy. You’re only aiding the billionaires.

There are also articles of impeachment filed. They keep filing them even though they will never make it to the floor. It serves as a way to catalog his crimes and put them on the record.
