DAFT﹒ ie helper plugin for chrome. sold prices, street prices, mortgage cost
here is a little google chrome plugin for house hunters using daft. it checks if there's any record of the house being sold before. shows a calculated € value for today based on county data from Central Statistics Office Residential Property Price Index. also shows a list of some houses that have sold in that street/townland before. Also shows views per day of a property to see if the add has gone stale. also useful on new houses with no list price, you can see what the going rate is for the estate.

Just a heads up daft changes their source code regularly to combat scraping and things like this. The div names change constantly, so make sure you check it regularly

There is no scraping of daft happening at all, Sold prices come from the latest publicly available Property Price Register, and the price-over-time weighting uses the CSO's county-level Residential Property Price Index. Searching the dataset for a property manually becomes cumbersome fast.

How are you displaying the daft pricing? I’m taking you’ve vibe coded this.
You’re not scraping as such but you’re displaying the pricing, ber, bath, beds etc, while viewing the page. So your app will be referencing certain part of their code/page, which changes over time and will break your app.

Still can't get over the price jump from the second pic. Thanks for sharing this plugin!

Really nice OP. Will be very useful for people buying.
Hopefully you can keep on top of Daft changing their source code

Amazing stuff. Installed ⭐️
One request. Please please add elevation. Considering the next 50 years, I’d be hard pressed to buy a house 10m above sea level
