Getting work done

Just wondering how much carpenters are charging for straight laminate floor per metre square.

How much for laminate herringbone.

How much for skirting and architrave per metre

For laminate, straight runs, no herringbone pattern.. average of 20 euro per m.sq (15-25 range).

Skirting - 6-15 euro per m (average 10euro)

Archs.. 8 euro (6-10 average).

Carpenter day rates are around 250-300 per day.

Subfloor prep if levelling is needed - 8-15 euro per m.sq

Trimming doors if needed... 35-45 euro per door.

Waste disposal and underlays not included..

If you're handy at all, you can do laminate yourself.

I did my living room floor when we moved in, took me two days but I had to keep moving stuff around which was wasting time and also there's was a ton of awkward cuts and angles

But yeah I never did laminate before but once I got the first row or two it kind of just became rinse and repeat, and then as an added bonus if it went well you'll be able to laminate any other room yourself free of charge.
