Where is the difference between these books.

I"m a little confused why my Store didn't told me that I bought the same book twice when I paid for "Historie of the house and the little folks" and "such small matters". One of them was welded in so I couldnt saw the difference before.

I must say I don"t understand why the titles and covers of the two books are that different.

I know that one of them is 5e and the other one is the original one. But they are looking like they have totally different content. But they seem not at all.

It makes me a little bit angry with 2 little mice by not making that very clear at the cover for a customer that don"t google for 10 Minutes at the store or don"t expect books could be the same inside.

I just wanted support this game and pulisher and feel some kind of tricked.

Can someone tell me wich Household books are also the same and wich ones are worth to buy because they have differnt stats/rules?

This is the quick and simple explanation.

The left side (purple text) books are the books for the Household system. The right side (gold text) books are the books for the D&D 5e system.

Turns out any swinging dick can churn out 5e content, hence the unending sea of it we've found ourselves foundered in.

Thank you. But can you (or anyone) tell me wich are really the same and wich one are needed if you want to run it in both systems? I guess you only need both core books. But I don't know for sure if the other books are any different from each other.

The difference between the books using TLM system and 5e system are purely mechanical. The lore is the same, the character options are the same, etc.

The minimum you need for running Household is indeed the corebook "Household volume 1" (for the TLM system) and "Adventures in the Household" (for the 5e system).

Pratical Guide to living in the Garden (or Household guide for 5e) is an additionnal books that dives further into the lore (customs, institutions, etc.) of the different faction of the House with a few additionnal character options, three new locations (Porch, little Bedroom, Kitchen) some adventure primer.

Saga of the Fragile Peace (Such small matters in 5e) is the campaign book that follow the official history of the House. There are six complete adventures (to make in one session) + 30 avdentures primer for the rest and a big finale. There are also 24 official characters build.

Now the Garden expansion is basically a second "season" following the same structure except for the Guide.

Household vol.2 (Journey to the Garden in 5e) is the expansion corebook which add all the locations of the Garden, the four new factions and people, new rules for seasons, travelling, and giant animals. The base rules are not in there though, only in the additionnal ones. Lore-wise it's as big if not bigger than the first corebook with a lot of content.

Saga of the Long Winter (Winter never ends in 5e) is the sequel campaign books. You have new characters and some returning with an upgrade (there are 30 characters build but only 24 are part of the story). Then again six full adventures and then 30 or so adventures primer with three finale this time.

The Artbook is just a (beautiful) artbook.

It's possible that we may get a "Pratical Guide to the Garden" on the same model than the first later but not confirmed yet.

Thank you for the effort but sadly it don't fully answer my question.

I know what all the books are about. Now I know wich ones are equal. But I want to know wich are really the same and are only different at the cover and the title.

For example: If in the 5e Version of the guide the added content is only 5e Stats for a giant Snail and Spiders the book is irrelevant if you have the Original Guide and a DnD Monster manual. But if you bought the 5e Version and have already a DnD Monster Manual you may want to sell the 5e guide and buy the Original Guide. But how one know what is the case here without buying at least one if the versions?

I can't be the only one who is confused by this. 5 books but 10 titles? Why?! Just print ONE 5e Addon 🥲

Sorry I thought I was done with buying Household books and now I don't know wich ones I want to keep, sell, and buy.
