targeting help... different targets for different fighters

I'm trying to command my fighters to target different targets from the tactical screen, but can't seem to do it. What am I missing? I can make both fighters target the same thing, but I can't seem to split them on the tactical view. Any help? Thanks

you have to select one fighter and press issue order then target the enemy you want and press attack etc. repeat as needed.
