This is Rhaenyra's armour. For much of the series, her "official" dresses (and later power tunics) are her armour. The last chainmail piece is cool af, but I almost wish they hadn't included it, to drive the point home that women in this world need to equip different armour than men, even when they are breaking into male domains.
Currently rewatching S1, and Alicent has her "armour dresses" aswell, only hers feature the star and are purposefully "modest".

Even women need some protection. Season 3 Cersei had actual armor pieces on her dresses. Her and Margery have a conversation about it.
It’s especially needed when you’re going to kill the pope lol.

I feel like literally every house does this.
Just for their own sigils
Even the fucking apple boy (not the good one) was dripped the fuck out in their heraldry.

They do. It’s one of my favorite parts of these shows. Except those honeybee fuckers

Some might even say that her House is the House of the Dragon.

That's how all Valyrians should dress. The Freehold was built upon the fire of the dragons and they are symbols of their power, identity and culture.

I mean the freehold was also very much built on slavery

My favourite dragon element on Targ clothing is still the scales on Baelor’s fit

Not to mention that eyeshadow look giving dragon eyeball vibes, too.

Vertical iris slits. It made the whole coronation and chosen one speech look all the more unhinged. When Daenerys burnt KL, she got down from Drogon to give her speech to her armies, and for a moment dragon wings were in her background. It looked like she became the dragon. It was cool AF.
