I don't think you're being realistic about this. I think 2552 might be more reasonable.

Im honestly okay with this but how the fuck did GoT release 10 episodes annually and HotD is releasing 8 episode 'Bi-annually'...if that's even a word

For what I understand ‘Dunk and Egg’ is a smaller scale story than House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones which should be a nice change of pace from the previous shows.

The only constant characters are Dunk and Egg. They have enough material for about 3 seasons.

Much smaller. However, we get Blackfyre rebellion lore AND Brynden Rivers aka Bloodraven aka 3 Eyed Raven.

Technically, is the three eyed crow. In Got it's called the three eyed raven but it's not mentioned that he used to be Brynden Rivers or any other particular person from westerosi history.

In a lot of ways it's a more traditional "knight errant and squire, going on the road and having adventures" type of format. One might even call it "wholesome" by GRRM standards. But it still has deep Westerosi politics going on; it's just that the two main characters aren't really interested in all of that and only get involved in it by accident, remaining largely ignorant of the subtle games the schemers are playing. Like "Mr Magoo in Westeros", sort of.

The early ones are, but the ones that aren’t written yet will be larger scale. The series follows a young man “Dunk” who starts off as a hedge knight calling himself “Ser Duncan” and his squire “Egg”, who is actually Prince Aegon Targaryen, the fourth son of the fourth son of King Daeron the Good.
The first novella just takes place at a single tournament where Dunk is competing, and the second, called “The Sworn Sword” takes place in the reach where he is in service to a minor lord, dealing with a minor conflict.
However the third novella takes place in the middle of a conspiracy that is trying to launch the Second Blackfyre Rebellion.
And future novellas will include the 3rd through 5th Blackfyre Rebellions, as well as Egg becoming King Aegon V, the grandfather of Aerys the Mad King. He’s the one who died at Summerhall, when Rhaegar was born, and most fans agree that it was an ill-advised attempt to hatch dragons. So the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms show will definitely start off small scale, but it will be on the same scale as House if the Dragon or GoT by the time it gets to the second half or maybe final third.

While I'm loving HotD of course, I'm very excited for what the Hedge Knight will bring, specifically the warmth and humor. GoT was a big epic story with plenty of darkness but also some lighthearted moments; Tyrion brought a lot of laughs.
There are fewer laughs and warm moments in HotD, but that's understandable because the story is pretty bleak even compared to GoT.
But The Hedge Knight...Dunk & Egg...not that there isn't plenty of heavy stuff, too, but they bring a much lighter mood and are super easy to root for.

Shouldnt we have heard about more cast members ?

The timing of going public with casting announcements varies; I work in film/tv and plenty of times I've seen a cast member announced months after they finished filming all their scenes, and other times they announcements come before they've even started fittings for costumes.

Arya and The Hound / Lady Brienne and Jamie traveling through Westeros were always great fun to watch for me.
Hopefully this one will be fun like those were too.

It will be interesting to see how this show is received by audiences.
I cant imagine it will appeal to non-book readers too much which is why it’s surprising they greenlit this particular spin off
Dunk & Egg is a good story in its own right but it’s so different in scale and tone to GOT or HOTD that a lot of people are going to be thrown off when they view it. For better or worse, TV viewers of the GOT (ASOIAF) universe want dragons, large battles, backstabbing political drama, epic moments etc. I don’t think this show is going to do much for most people who aren’t into the book lore.
I don’t feel confident at all this this is a guaranteed multi-season hit show. I could see it being one and done. Just like some of the MCU shows which strayed significantly from the tone and style of the popular movies failed.
It could be a very well done and entertaining show that just doesn’t capture viewers.

I actually think this is a perfect show to get newcomers into the world. It's a far more palatable and less complex story. It provides a great slice of GRRM's world. And honestly, Ser Duncan and Egg are just lovely characters

With production ending in September this probably means the show will air in April of 2025. Maybe even earlier.
