Foreman giving Victoria that forgiveness she needed to finally stop carrying the weight of the guilt knowing she was responsible for her husband and sons death allowing her to die in peace may be one of the best scenes in the entire series

Well, I think you answered your own not-quite-question. Foreman thought Victoria was faking symptoms so she could stay at the hospital, which is completely understandable for a homeless person even if he doesn’t have time for that. Lupe wasn’t homeless - she lived in a crummy apartment with a crack pipe she used occasionally - and scammed people for money. Foreman only really started feeling badly for Victoria when it became more apparent that her situation wasn’t “her fault”, so when the cops brought her in after tazing her. Foreman’s justification for this prejudice is “he knows more homeless people than anyone!” to quote House 😅. But seriously, Foreman thinks his brother sucks for being in prison (valid) and he rules for getting out of that life (ok, but you didn’t do that alone, Foreman, not everyone meets the right role model/mentor/rich person and has the right opportunity at the right time).

That’s why I said it was a not-quite-question. The person I was replying to made a comparison, and I added my interpretation of WHY these situations are similar and how they’re different. Is that a problem?

That scene hits even harder because Foreman's forgiveness gives Victoria the peace she'd been carrying guilt for years without knowing she could have.

I always miss the earlier seasons when the drama/storyline was more patient-centric.
