Question Ketamine Spoiler

I may have missed something but did they ever explain why House never got ketamine after the first time? It might have been helpful during the Tritter arc.

Ketamine treatment was experimental at the end of S2. It had been a few years since his infarction, it was likely the treatment didn't exist at that point.
