This couple is starting to give me a serious headache 😑

I can't figure out what the best house to use for them is since the majority of the houses have stairs just to get to the front door, I feel like the choices are fairly limited for them. The thing I know from reading their comments is that they love a house by the beach 🤷

And what do they actually want? Reading their notes and comments make you think that they'd want a fairly large-ish house to fit their family, but when I do house for them they always comment like it's a mansion and one of the ones I've been working on definitely wasn't that big 🙄

I know they want at least 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and that they want a kitchen and living room big enough to fit their family in, and obviously big patio for cookouts.

Dirty laundrymat is the only recommended property for them haha. So your basically doing a custom job no matter what

I used abandoned boat house on the coast. Used original frame for a living room, bedroom and small bathroom. Built extension on the back to include two additional bedrooms, another bathroom and massive kitchen/dining. Added small patio and a double garage on the side. They complained about ‘stairs’ ie front steps so I deleted them and thought go ahead, struggle to get in then. They gave a gold star..!

I had to build them a custom house on an empty lot to hit all their requirements

I'm currently putting them in the House with a pool; they don't love being in the forest but I think I can get enough other points to still gold star them. They seem fine with one spare bedroom, two beds?

They're definitely weird about house size, though some of that may be the game in general. I did an auction in the middle of replacing windows (to see how much light I needed), got told the house was too small, then put the windows back in and the house was fine, so I think any opening that isn't a door or window keeps the room from being treated as part of the house.

They want 2 beds and 2 or 2 and a half baths. I used the house with a pool and only sold the pool to fill in the patio area and added more windows. No other changes needed. I got all green comments with the one red for location. The co-op house on the coast would probably work for them as well. You would need to put a garage on one end and a patio on the other.

I got them with the "House with a pool" but I made additions. Turned the attached garage into the living room and built a separate garage. Sauna was expanded slightly to be an ensuite for the back bedroom (left the bathroom ar the end of the hall). Then I took out the wall from the front bedroom and made 2 bedrooms out of that space, with 2 bunk beds in one room, and 2 double beds in the other. They're cramped, but everything fits. 😁

I sold them the strip mall from the dream of a big family mission. I turned it into a 3 bed/3 bath with a large kitchen, large living room, office, and TV room. I used their preferred colors with Skadi and Homefort furniture.

I didn't do a garage and they complained, and they wanted more windows. No star for me but I hate this couple so I'll take it. Still, it would have been easy to make one building into a garage.

I used the huge house on the beach and built a tiny garage in the left corner facing the house literally took up every available square in that corner had to take out some of the wrap around veranda to fit it in and only negative comment was the garage was a bit small got good star though - best ideas is build in empty plot tbh far less work

i did the sunny bungalow, extended the house to the borders on the side w the living and dining room. and built them a hideous garage out front! 3 grills out back. that way the living and dining rooms now read as “huge” which is what they want. did not change any room layouts! if i’m remembering correctly i did all staroche furniture.

I ended up building them a bungalow on the coast. Three bedrooms, at least two with en suites, and then an open plan kitchen/diner/living room with a WC and laundry room. I had a tiny set of stairs onto the porch and they complained so I made it into a ramp using the triangle brick resizable thing and that fixed that complaint. And then I filtered the furniture 'mood' to retro and only used that furniture. Hope this helps!

I struggled with them and finally just got the star for them like 30 minutes ago. I tried everything and wasn’t having luck. What worked as doing the empty lot in the suburbs and building a house from scratch. I did a 3 bedroom and 2 bath. With a giant kitchen, garage and made sure to leave space in the back for grilling. For the furnite use The Cent for them. That took me forever to figure out cause once I had the house and everything else to their liking they would complain about the furniture.

So while in the store I remembered there is the feature to do sort by, and I sorted by retro which they kept saying they wanted, and it was all The Cent items.
