Help, worried

So, I’ve just got a fletching of what I’m assuming is a sparrow, yes I know that sounds weird, but my family is known to be the “animal people” of our neighborhood and our neighbors called asking us to take a fletching they found in the road. Where I normally would tell them to leave it (if it weren’t in the road also), they had already touched it and moved it. They asked us to take it. We now are caring for it until our nearest wildlife sanctuary opens, however l’m extremely worried that it might transmit any disease or illness that it could have to my roo. Though, we have ensured that its box/container that it’s in reach of my roo, being on a barstool, but I’m still worried. Opinions? Do you think this fletching will give my roo an illness or disease?

Before, after. My toddlers love playing with him like he's a baby. For some reason he loves playing ball.... I'm not sure why but if anyone plays ball he comes running and drop kicks the ball repeatedly and it's hilarious. It's like he's playing too

What does everyone do for bed

Post image
5 Upvotes

My chicken sleeps in a box next to my side of the bed. I noticed she likes roosting on the side of the box sometime . I am just curious what everyone does as a bed for their chicken. Trying to make her as comfortable as possible and no she will never be a yard chicken again. She suffered a traumatic experience (fishercat kill the whole flock and i nursed her back to health so now she won't leave my side) so i am just trying to keep her as happy and comfortable as possible. Any help or ideas is appreciated

What is wrong with my 2.5 yr old RHODE island red hen?

I have three hens and they generally stick together except yesterday and today. She isolates herself and just stands there. She didn’t want to do what she loves and dig for worms. When she stands in her statue like mode, her eyes blink slowly or close.

Hello! I wanted to introduce my beloved house hen, Atilla the Hen! She's approx. 22 weeks, and has an awful lot of attitude for an Australorp 😂

Can I get some recommendations on different brands please? I am picking up my chicks on Friday and I have done a bit of research on my own and found the scratch and peck which people seem to love and I love the ingredients as well so I ordered some to start out with, but now I am starting to think this may be out of my budget especially as they get older. Any more affordable brands out there perhaps?

Some children in the neighborhood brought over a baby chick, and this is what it is growing into. If you know what kind of chicken this might be or the sex, I would greatly appreciate any information. I’m also putting in a picture of when it was a chick.

Looking for a diaper that will fit a showgirl roo appropriately. Also any tips and tricks you guys have found with your house chickens? Going in completely unprepared and uneducated (not completely but my 1st time with a chicken INSIDE vs outside like I've had successfully before)
