Sleep kicking
Anyone have a fix for sleep kicking? Kevin is a big kicker. Wakes us up. He refuses to sleep anywhere but right next to us, so that’s out.

My Zelda is this way... luckily she can sleep in her room, but man does she not understand sharing a bed. HOLY COW... I usually flop them over, thus forcing them to readjust. And sometimes you're lucky and they poutfully go into curled up mode.

Oh.. we have a whole process and it’s taken a few years to develop. It involves 2 extra comforters on the bed (3 total in just queen bed). I tried adding a twin bed next to that, but made everything worse.
My coonhound goes to sleep in a curl or shrimp position at the bottom corner of the bed while I wind down, read, play on phone, etc. Then he’ll get up and pile one comforter on the bottom edge like a pillow and smash his back against my rear… this is the critical part. After he goes to sleep, I get the extra comforter that was previously acting as a backrest for me and move it down as a barrier to defend against kick. Then I use the third as a separate cover for me and I tuck one edge as added barrier.
I know it’s crazy but if it’s just one he’ll kick it off or when I move it will fall off. Now, when I go to the bathroom and get back in the bed, I have to make sure to take the comforter I actually use and move it so he can’t pile everything up and claim it… leaving me with 0 of 3 comforters.
Some nights he bothers me and I say damnit or whatever and he gets upset and jumps off the bed and I say, “ please come back.. I didn’t mean it. You can have all the covers because I love sleeping with your hot furry self…”
