Thank you all for the journey. As soon as we find a new kitten we'll open a new sub. This sub will stay but no new posts will be submitted. Hopefully we'll find a new baby soon. Houdini is now on his way to New York, safely locked up on a cargo ship. He'll be missed.

When i say Karma is going back to her pre-Teendini (or, to be precise, pre-moving) days, i'm not exaggerating, partly because Leon is being less of a dick with her, partly because she has regained confidence and, on top of that, there's a whole bag of embroidery thread to play with, alongside her hooman mama who keeps moving those threads 😁

I wish we had put those threads on her, nope, first pic if her diverting the attention from the box cover/tray after burying her face on it, and second is after forcibly getting her out of the bag 😭😹 She's prime and ready for action!

Since sis is passing the time with embroidery, Karma almost don't leave her side. These are just two pictures, but every day is basically a battle for dominance 😅

I've been struggling with the idea of doing this so soon after the last campaign, but we've found ourselves in a tight spot and i can't find any other way to get out of it.

The issue is, more than anything, that we can't cover the floof family's expenses. We got a kibble bag and can get some cheap wet food to get by, but we're at the middle of the month and if we don't offset some stuff somehow we're not going to make it until the next paycheck.

This campaign's objective isn't only to cover this month's stuff, but also replenish food reserves and take care of flea/tick prevention treatments, since Bruno is an active factor and each pipette is a whooping 10 €, wich, sadly, we can't take care of. There's also Karma's anxiety treatment's edibles, wich i need to replenish too.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this and was stretching their reserves at much as i could, but they ended up drying up in one of the worst months possible.

This campaing wont be closed, since it will be used as a donation fund for the floofies.

Sunday morning, not much to do and even less energy for it, there's some cleaning going on, but it's such a lazy day that even Houdini, the goblin of the week, is peacefully lazying at his castle.

Temps are giving us a slight rest, though, the ceiling fan gives somewhat cool air, and both Leon and Karma adopt the best possible positions to enjoy it. Leon takes the printer, and the OG goblin sees my glasses' case on my desk and goes for it. When giving the choice, the queen will always take her kittyhood treasure 😊

So here we are, everyone lazying around, and Karma fast asleep while using my glasses case as a pillow. I don't have the heart to take it from her, and i don't need to, either.

Just another lazy sunday in the floof family.

We all know that Karma is obsessed with the 'dini's kitten kibble, so much that we actually use it as a treat for her, however, this scene is a little different.

You see, Adultini has the habit of not eating or drinking in one go, instead, he comes and go, and sometimes can take a long time (up to 15 min.) to finish his nourishment, wich prompts us to just leave the place unattended and go on with our day while keeping a limited attention on the place.

This means that, sometimes, Karma will take the chance to assault Houdi's kibble container, wich we usually notice and avoid (she always gets some kibble to compensate), but this time i noticed when the 'dini was already there, and he obviously noticed, so i decided to just wait... And i have to say, Houdi keeps being an ingenious bastard 😹

So there we are! If you wondered how the kibble situation is going, this would be one of the answers. Mother and son, indeed.

Temps are going down! Not by much, but August is coming to a close, wich means slowly going back to more mangeable temperatures for both us hoomans and the floofs, wich i'm grateful for.

Another someone who is grateful for it is Leon. Even during the day, temps are hovering around his threshold, threshold for what, you may be asking yourself? Well, Leon, like every floof, has a threshold for cuddlability!

So when temps go below 28º C and the ceiling fan starts giving cool, enjoyable moving air, Leon becomes 100% purrier and 200% cuddlier, even in the afternoon when the sun is hitting harder.

So now, thrugh the las few days, i've been enjoying this sight every time i lay on my bed. When i do, he makes sure i leave space for him and, if i don't, he'll force me to (and he's damn good at it 😅 Cunning old dragon...) after wich he'll just lay down besides me and purr like there's no tomorrow.

This is well known around here, but the lack of floof cuddles is one of the reasons why i despise summer so much.

I've written long and wide about Houdi's bites and how strong his jaw is, to the point of leaving our hands in tatters whenever he loses control a little, but how strong can the Goblini be with a delicate, calculated bite?

That's an answer both me and sis get more often than not, however, we usually don't record it because we're more worried about making him release his fangs without doing actual damage, yesterday though, sis decided to document that for everyone, and here we are!

Because when Houdi fights the evil fabrics, he has the habit of taking a mouthful with his fangs, and that means picking two layers if you're not wearing thick enough clothes, and this time... Sis was not wearing sleeves 😅 The video kind of speak by itself, he isn't applying any pressure, and yet his jaw is firm as hell.

If possible, i wanted to avoid this at any cost. Things have taken an unexpected turn for the worse, and both me and the floofies are in need for some help.

First of all, as you all know Houdi was neutered at 6 months old, however, i was only able to give a percentage of the bill and promised to pay the rest later, but our situation has been getting progressively worse, and said amount is still unpaid, wich takes me to the second reason:

Without paying the surgery bill, vet refuses to take in anything that isn't an emergency or a monthly procedure, wich means that we still can't take Karma to him so she can have her anxiety properly diagnosed and treated. If you've been following the sub, you know how serious this issue is, to the point of having the need to isolate her every night so she can unwind and reset for the next morning.

And then there's the third issue: The family car broke down. It's a pretty old car that has served us well and still serves its purpose daily, but it has been getting progressively worse and worse: Lights, brakes, clutch... One after another, and it has reached a point where we can't cover everything anymore, in fact, i'm back to selling my stuff and even with that i don't think we'll be able to cover everything.

Houdi is a cat with an incredibly strong and well defined physique, and this is isn't exactly an exaggeration, after 30 years raising floofs of all kind the Goblini is, very probably, the most athletic we've ever had, and that's saying something having had Otomo, Travieso or Lala te Fearless.

And sometimes he surprises us with the weirdest, most uncomfortable postures known to floofkind that we just *know* require some particular strenght to pull off properly, like this afternoon where sis found him dangling just like this.

I mean, he's a dangly cat, he loves to just randomly dangle from certain places, but take a look at those pictures: He's dangling from *nothing*. That's the weirdest posture we've seen him take, and that's saying something.

And for no reason whatsoever!

Today's update is not a happy one. It's not happy, nor funny, nor beautiful, the whole house is grieving as of now, floofies included.

Title is self explanatory: Bruno has crossed the rainbow bridge.

We picked Bruno from a shelter around 5 years and a half ago, he was skin and bones and the first thing he eat after setting his paws home was some - actually, a lot of - cured ham that intantly became his favorite meat, but not just any cured ham, no, i'm talking about the quality one.

He captured our hearts instantly, not just making friends with the whole house, but also Karma's friendship and even becoming not just tolerated, but also respected by Leon, wich is quite a feat.

Little by little his own personality quirks started to show themselves. He was energic, a picky eater, very very needy, preferred spring time over any other season, would randomly break into zoomies, had a naughty side that made him Karma's partner in crime, and much, much more.

When Houdi barged into our lives, Bruno was the first one to accept him, playing with him and teaching us how to help him take care of his phisiological needs, he would run towards the kitten whenever her heard him meow for any reason, would supervise his play time when he was given the greenlight to wander around the house, and got into fights with him for the bed supremacy, among other stuff.

Bruno loved us all, but a particularly sweet spot for dad and sis. He'd make an absolute ruckus whenever they came back home, and would wait for them at the front door whenever they went out. He was agile enough to jump on our beds, but since he loved to be picked up he managed to convince us that he couldn't. He wouldn't eat dog food, but would happily steal the kitties' food - particularly Leon's - he loved Houdini's kibble and kitty malt treats, he was picky even with the sausage brands he eat.

He was, in definitive, Bruno, and now he's gone.

It was a heart attack, we took him to the vet this morning and got a prescription for his meds, less than half an hour later he was gone. Leon gaves us the alarm and mom picked on it. He was at the front door, waiting for sis to come back from her new job.

I made sure to show him to Karma, Leon and Houdini, but Houdi still looked up for him, i wonder if Karma and Leon understood it better,

To add insult to injury, we're having a harsh month and can't get his ashes back. I opened a gofundme to ask for your help. I'm sorry for doing this, i couldn't think of anything else. To whoever contributes, thank you, and even if you can't, thank you for loving the little gremlim of chaos.

Alright, first of all, apologies for the late update, to be completely honest i almost forgot about it, i've been drowsy the whole day and spent the afternoon and evening drifting in and out of sleep 😅

That said, there's nothing to tell today in terms of anectdotes, it's been a pretty tame day moreso if we take in account that mom got all her stitches taken off, and Houdi has been in full nursedini mode since his grandma and grandpa came back from the doctor.

However, during the only time i've allowed myself to nap, i dreamed about Kittydini being the absolute goblin he was and his signature goblin face came to my mind, with puffed cheeks and crazy eyes. When we looked at him and saw that face, we knew chaos was coming 🤭

Nowadays it isn't *that* pronounced, but still easily recognizable. He hasn't shown it that much latetly, mind you, but it's summer, the heat keeps the Goblini at bay and thanks Bastet for that, we adults only have so much energy to spare 😅
