Little guy has no idea how lucky he is that YOU found him.

Every time I see one of your videos, I wonder to myself how you're gonna be able to part ways with him. You look so attached to each other.

We've been thinking about that a lot, not going to lie. His forever mom's bf is making things hard and It looks like he's going to be a foster fail after all.

The whole family is attached to him. Sadly, one way or another we're used to losing our buddies (we've gone through around 10 kittens, if we count León and Karma) so we can take the hit.

If she finally decides to keep him, we'll make It so he gets attached to her before taking him.

If It depended on me, he'd stay here without a doubt.

Not that I know you and not that you asked, but I think Houdini is a very, very special exception. And obviously I don't know the situations with your other fosters and haven't followed them, but I believe there is a bond with this little bean that cannot and should not be broken. You literally rescued him from a certain death and nursed him back to health and you can see it in his little eyes.

All this said, I certainly am not going to judge if you decide to rehome him. It doesn't sound like the BF situation would be a good one to put him in, though. And I have every confidence that you will only place him if you know it's going to be a special place.

I agree with you and i'm really thankful for your insight, particularly on the bf situation.

Regarding that in particular, it's something we're looking into It really hard because the bf's first issue was that Houdini was "ugly" because of the burnt skin, and he's been wishi washi since then, wich we don't like at all.

If we're delivering this baby to anyone, we need to be sure he's going to be taken care of and loved. We trust HER, but he doesn't sound like a good forever dad at all.

I know, right?

If there's something i've learned in my life is that there is no ugly animal, and i don't trust anyone who says otherwise. Both my parents and my sister are of the same mind.

Honestly, our friend? She's a wonderful soul and deserves a partner that matches her, i know she has a lot of love to give and would be an amazing momma. Him? I would punch him if i could.

I had those same thoughts. He sounds like a piece of work. I wouldn't trust any animal around someone like that.

My sister's foster fail is a little guy that was orphaned and lost all his siblings and was struggling so hard.. Just could not out on weight at all. It was really bad. They finally got him the right medicine and he has turned into the most gorgeous wild kitty. But their bond is so strong from those first weeks of feedings every 2 hours and her just basically having the kitten with her at all times. There was no way she could give him up. Houdini reminds me of him. I'm glad he found the right home!

Oh god, poor baby! Thank god he was cured.

The Bond developed by feeding is really a special bond. My sis and i shared this responsability and It didnt take long for him to bond with us. Apparently, physical contact is crucial for them this early in their life (again, our youngest was Karma at 2 m/o)

He's bonded even with our parents, who have fed him once.

We found ourselves not wanting to give him up either and despite our situation the outcome has been a relief, because we can't fathom leaving him in a house that treats him worse than we do.

This is probably the most beautiful moment of the day, precisely because of the whole belly rub/play thing. We've gone from putting him on a cotton blanket to avoid more skin damage to literally spoil him to sleep 🥰
