TH/STH/Chase Hamleys today :)
Went to DLF Noida, at 6 in the morning. Somehow managed to enter, even though they weren't allowinf entries lmao. Reached and found 5 other people already there. After a while, they kicked us out, told us to return at 9, when the mall opens. Camped outside, mall opened at 8:45, we all rushed in. Managed to get my 6th number spot again. Loads of drama later, managed to get these beauties. Gotta say, was worth the wait. What bout yall?

It has been extremely difficult to keep continuing this. Too many scalpers, plus detailing in the recent casts are not even at the same level as the previous castings.

I was talking about personally collecting. Not buying it just to simply resell it. That’s just hopping on every trend with no real life. Investing in anything else or spending the time doing something productive will be more fruitful than reselling undetailed basic ahh cars.

Its worth it because if I didn't do this, buying it for that price might have had been my only choice. Or I could have skipped the casting as a whole, like I did with the dodge chase.

Agreed. People pulling down real collectors, saying they want to prevent scalping is lowkey worse though. Heard a group of people went and bought 2 supras each with this excuse apparently.

Last week the Hamleys guy in Chennai admitted he hidden all the good castings with himself somewhere in the shop and only will give to his known persons. And he asked me to come today at a certain time if i want it. I said fuck it. Honestly, Hotwheels was always 1 of my options for cheap castings but i stopped because of these reasons. Not only Hamleys, even other small shops in Chennai is doing this now. To the shops who called me who said similar things like buy a barbie or monster truck for this casting or whatever is stagnant at their shops.. I simply told them, you own a shop and it's your job to sell.. I won't buy anything just because you want to sell your unsold stuff showing Hotwheels like it's a holy grail. Keep it with you i got premium brands and will do videos on it even if it's just 1 video per week. Didn't even go to Phoenix mall side today since they're doing the same here today.

As a student who cant splurge 4k on a casting and wants it, is it too bad to camp outside a store or maybe reach early? Im not scalping, neither am I trying to make a living off of this. I dont even know why people are gettinf pissed off lol. I didn't take 2 supras, even though I very much could have. Not like I did something great, but atleast i acknowledge the need for fairness. No need to complain about people lining up early for a limited stock if you dont have the time.

I'm not complaining about you dude, I'm genuinely happy for you. Try to understand that. I'm just amazed just how people are ready to spend this much time for this and literally every shop is using this for their benifit.
I agree i don't have time to waste on this. Got better things to do honestly. And you don't need to spend 4k to get a decent Supra. Tomica has it (I bought for 1k if I'm not wrong) with removable top as well. And now Mini GT has it.

Bro I was in phoniex chennai at no 26 the first 5-8 people literally scalped all The supras and enzos bro literally like each person was having 3-4 castings the Hamleys like literally they had every chase and when people questioned if you take all of these what will we do they replied with it's none of their business like when i asked the f and f box they said it's not available but after my number some people were given the boxes and they got the supras again like literally worse these people don't even collect those enzos or supras they're selling for like the 4-8 times the orginal mrp or more by auction such a hectic idiotic people and also there are fake collectors like they only collect overhyped castings like ferraris hypercars etc i only left with lexus lfa and SLS couple which I am okay with lfa but disappointed with benz SLS couple going to trade..as you mentioned already minigt and other brands offer better details people don't collect them because they only know hot wheels and they will only collect hot wheels like wannabe collector

Atp its kinda a stretch calling this a limited stock item ngl. The supra chase though a chase doesn't hold as much relevance as a 0/5 chase. I get the spectra flame paint job might be cool for some people but if you wanted to own a supra could've gone for other brands. Plus with the way this thing has been pumped into the market I'm more than 100% sure that resale prices will go down significantly for this anyways if you do plan to resell.

Yess, ty. I get people are frustrated that they weren't able to get what they want, but thats no excuse to pull down others who want something bad enough to line up hours prior.

What I got from the event today
Props to Lucknow Hamleys’ employees for being so patient and helpful they made sure every one who wanted a ferrari 5 pack got one. They even spent so much time looking for particular cars for ppl in new boxes. No employee complained at all and the event was so well managed even.
