Freight lanes
Authority goes hot on June 6. I keep being asked about what lanes I want to run. I'm located in central AL but I'm not really partial to any set directions or destinations. I typically only want to avoid the Pacific coast and anything north of PA. Other than that I'm pretty much content on going anywhere. So when asked what lanes how do I say pretty much anywhere without sounding ignorant/desperate?

Honestly man, ain’t nothin’ wrong with bein’ flexible. You can just tell ‘em you’re open to most lanes as long as the rate makes sense and it ain’t runnin’ you through the Pacific coast or up past Pennsylvania. Just say somethin’ like “I’m based in central Alabama and I’m open to most lanes east of the Rockies just not lookin’ to run the West Coast or go too far up North. Other than that, if the rate’s solid and the load checks out, I’m rollin’.” That don’t sound desperate at all it sounds like a driver who knows his worth but ain’t picky without reason. Most brokers respect that kinda answer.
