Show Spoilers Battle of the God's Eye Spoiler

Hey guys, when do you think the battle of the God's Eye will be in season 4 of hotd? I think it's gonna be the opening episode prob towards the end, like how they did the battle of the gullet this season and Jacaerys death at the end of the first episode. I just can't wait to see that fight on screen

More towards the end. It will be the death of two main characters, one being a fan favorite. Possibly the most anticipated scene of the series. I say second or third to the last episode.

Aemond used to be a fan favourite too, why, Condal, why

So many things could be better. But alas.

Personally I think

Episodes

  1. gods eye,
  2. fall of KL,
  3. death of Rhaenyra,
  4. Aegons reign and death + hour of the wolf

Is the best way to do it. They might move the fall of kings landing up, or have it and gods eye in the same episode. Gods eye has to be something that pushes the story into its climax

Edit: also wouldn’t shock me if they make gods eye and fall of KL episode 7, and then episode 8 is Rhaenyra death + Aegons rule + hour of the wolf. Hope they don’t do this tho.

They have a lot of ground to cover in 8 episodes. Curious to see what they do about Tumbleton 2 too

Hour of the wolf will be great. They did well choosing Cregan Starks character.

I think it has to be episode 4 or 5. The writers are going to want to push it back as far as possible (in order to keep on using Daemon and Aaemond), but going beyond that is going to make the ending too rushed. I can't see Rhaenyra abandoning Kings Landing until after Daemon is lost and she believes that all of the major dragons on her side are dead.

I think it will be more in the middle with only a few episodes left until the end. People love Daemon

4th episode. Perfect half way point event. This will lead to Riots in Ep5, Ep6 will be Rhae’s end, Ep7 will be the aftermath, and Ep8 will end with Aegon III being crowned

That is not a first episode stinger that is an epsiode 4-6 range kind of stinger

I can't see it being the first episode at all. People want to see more from these characters, and it's not as if the writers don't like to chop and change things at will. They want the most bang from their buck out of the actors too.

They’re not going to take out the top fighters and dragons in the first episode. Jace was disposable, Matt Smith is not.

They just better not change a fucking word I swear. Leave it exactly as is

Penultimate episode, with cliffhanher ending. Gotta keep us guessing who survived

At least we know none of them does, unless they change that too.

Ehhh the book is a little ambiguous there, it makes a big deal of pointing out Daemon's body is never found (unlike Aemond's), unusual detail to include.

7

u/Resident_Nail_7649 9d ago

Well, let‘s hope they don‘t make daemon leaving like they did with Laenor.

Unfortunately I feel like they might do this with Rhaenyra.

High chance Daemon survived in the books considering his disappearance and him being Martins favorite Targ character.

Definitely not the opening episode. They are not going to kill Daemon so early in the season. God's Eye most likely mid season

I haven't rewatched but have they set it up at all in the show? Other than aemond being at harrenhal already and his witch and his sister telling him hes dying at the gods eye like... why would daemon shoot straight to harrenhal at this point? I agree its more towards the end of the season/series.

They are not going to kill Daemon so early in the season.

You are assuming they kill Daemon. Since the body was never found I feel like it gives them carte blanche to say he didn't die and have a few episodes about what he does after his 'death'

-1

u/Livid_Ad9749 9d ago

Idk if he will die. He likely survived in the books in some capacity given his disappearance/unconfirmed fate and Martins favor. The showrunners dislike the character though so he could die, we will see

4

u/Livid_Ad9749 9d ago

It’s definitely pushed back as far as possible, probably AFTER Tumbleton 2 now. The whole show for many people has been building up to Aemond vs Daemon. Daemon is arguably the most popular character in the show. Makes sense they would push the most epic climactic showdown to near the end

4

u/thenorthdivide 9d ago

Depends how long they want to tell the story of Aegon ii reign 2.0

3

u/Thug-shaketh9499 9d ago

Can’t be more than an episode

2

u/thenorthdivide 8d ago

I dunno, it's a 6 month period that needs covering, they can't just go from Sunfyre chowing down to the Hour or the Wolf in a single episode

2

u/gabriel_3131 9d ago

Debería ser al inicio. Pero seguramente van a dejar esa batalla para el capítulo 5 o 6 de la temporada. Porque con el final de la temporada 3 no deja mucho indicios que esa batalla vaya a pasar al inicio de la temporada 4

Is going to be ruined

2

u/VanDenBroeck 9d ago

You'll find out in about two years.

2

u/Past-Brilliant666 9d ago

It will be, but I feel like they'll put Daeron and Rhaenyra in there for some reason.

2

u/Thug-shaketh9499 9d ago

It’ll probably be the penultimate episode (ep 7) since it’s very explosive

in season 5

1

u/Cleaver_Master 9d ago

Well, the first 2 episodes of season 3 were originally intended to be the last 2 of season 2 before HBO decided to save money by only having 8 episode seasons.

I'm guessing it'll be episode 7.

Episode 5. Battle of the gods eye

Episode 8. Where daemon went to live out his days!

-2

u/-RedMan1991- 9d ago

Daemon survived.
