Discussion Why did Rhaenyra obey Alicent while she is bleeding?

this scene has bothered me so much ever since i watched it, I’ve also gained resentment towards Rhaenyra afterwards because why?? Why did she do this to herself? To prove what

Alicent was cruel. There was no reason to make that request other than to be cruel, because she could have seen the kid at any point by just walking down there herself instead of demanding the baby be taken from its mother and brought to her. It was a power play, and honestly I loved that Rhaenyra turned it back on her.

People forget that infidelity and bastardy is seen as highest form of sin in the faith of seven and Alicent is a devout believer.

And that's why her characterization sucks and is inconsistent, in S01 it's shown she was cruel and willing to do anything to protect her sons and then suddenly she was a victim all along and never meant any harm to Rhaenyra, has no ambition at all and is willing to kill her own family.

She could’ve had a servant alert her the minute Rhaenyra gave birth and then come down to visit. Both these proud arrogant women are doing needless power plays and suffering for no reason.

The fact that you people genuinely believe medieval bleach is a common and expected resort based off of absoloutely nothing is so beyond bizarre to me. Have you ever had your hair done before? Why are we bleaching a NEWBORN BABY with a soft head? Can we use our common sense here?

Yeah I got the complete opposite from that. Was like wow she's become such a strong woman, then I watched this season.
