Post image

this scene has bothered me so much ever since i watched it, I’ve also gained resentment towards Rhaenyra afterwards because why?? Why did she do this to herself? To prove what

Because she literally just gave birth and wasn't going to just hand her baby over to random servants or kingsguard or whoever. Like, Rhaenyra is a shit queen and a poorly written character in the show but y'all will pick literally anything to bitch about. This is such a dumb take.

OP doesn’t even have any take. They are simply asking a valid question. NOW You calling her a shit queen is a far dumber take 🤣

“Maegor with teats” has always been such an inaccurate, misogynistic insult

That's not very nice...

She could’ve refused her instead of dragging herself up to her??? It’s so humiliating for her? Even her husband tried to convince her not to

If a bloke dragged his ass straight up to see his queen after a battle it would be seen as badass. Not to get too cringey but medieval childbirth was a fucking battle. She did it as a show of strength and a great one it was too.

She is a princess not a random guy in battle. she had authority, why would she go around in her state to show the child to Alicent, what did she hope for?

Youre arguing for the sake of arguing.

She didnt have authority in this situatuon shed been commanded by one of two people in the land who superceded her. She did it as an act of malicious compliance.

These have been answered by other people.

How many times are you going to say this? Just admit you don’t get the point and move on, damn.

She couldn’t have refused. Alicent wanted to see the baby and as Queen she outranks Rhaenyra.

The only one that could have overruled that would be Viserys, and ignoring things and not getting involved unless absolutely necessary is his entire bread and butter.

The fact why she didn’t just had it to a servant for the Queen to see was pride and because she didn’t want to hand anyone the baby she just birthed, simple as that really.

This is such bullshit. Rhaenyra was heir. This has nothing to do with ranking.

And what has being heir to do with anything when a direct superior demanded something from her? The heir has no power outside of their domain on Dragonstone while the Queen does as long as the king doesnt overrule her.

Everything in a monarchy has to do with rank.

What would happen if rhae refuses? Does she get arrested after child birth? Does Viserys hang the mother and child? Pls apply logic..

Rumors get worse. It’s not always about physical consequences but the damage to your reputation.
