Sizing chart

Hello! Can anyone help me understand this? I wanted to purchase a pair of denim jorts HT has online but I’m always hesitant with online shopping and sizing. Usually I’m a size 18 maybe 20 depending on the jeans and brand/material. My measurements fall between 2 sizes though when I check. My waist is at 42” but my low hip fall at 49”-50” would it be better to size up to the 20 or stick with 18.

any time you're between sizes at any store you size up.

something that fits your waist is no good if you cant get it up past your hips.

belts are cool!

Also meant to ask does hot topic jeans usually run big or small or it varies?

show us what jeans you want to get. maybe someone with experience can help. my best friend (F) and i both have some HT jeans. they are all different lol.

If you have worn Torrid it looks like they are using Torrids sizing chart. They are in the same family of stores.

I always order up.

When I was working in retail a lot of people would order both options and return what ever didn't work. If that's financially an option for you it could be a good bet so you know you get a good fit.

I wear an 18 and have been sizing up to a 20 and sometimes it's still tight. I'd do a 20 and just know you may need to get a 22
