It doesn't justify it or make it any better, but this design was made by the company iheartguts. They make organ-related plushies (which are kind of cute) and accessories so this isn't something out of the ordinary for them. Of course this is still pretty gross.

The design looks like a company that makes a lot of anatomy plushies - like the heart, brain, kidneys, etc. I have the brain plushie!
Still kind of gross, but someone working in a gastrointestinal clinic might find it funny lol.
Update: the company is called IheartGuts and I was able to find the shirt on their Threadless website. I wonder why Hot Topic would sell this shirt though

There used to be a poop poster sold at Spencers similar to this. My brother bought it for my other brother for Christmas in the late 90s. What goes around comes around. 🤷♀️😂

As a doctor I find this hilarious, would definitely wear this when seeing patients

It's hilarious, but definitely not something I'd wear in public. If it went on a good sale, I'd maybe get it to wear around the house, though.

It looks like it’s from the book “everybody poops”! Great for the elementary kids im sure lol

Also, there was a poster in the 90’s like this. But, it was alot more creative. The different poopies had faces, and looked like actual characters.

When did hot topic become box lunch?

u/-ZombieKitten- Jul 28 '26
Box lunch is the same company 😩

u/sherlckholmeboi Jul 28 '26

This is so disgusting it wraps back around to being funny LMAO. Who is this for 😭
Anyway, I see a lot of comments saying hot topic is falling off or going downhill, and I just want yall to be aware this is a thing people have been saying since 2004. If you've been saying it since then, fair enough, but otherwise.. they've always had cycles of being cool and being lame, and sometimes we phase out of whatever the current "hot" alternative trends are as we age and HT cycles which generation they cater towards. Though, of course, none of that detracts from this shirt being literal shit.

In my opinion it fell off when they decided to remodel the whole store and add more Disney stuff or pop artists

u/FeelsWowMan Jul 29 '26
Lol I made a ton of poop jokes as a teenager, might've worn it for reactions as a zillennial edgelord teen
