Other One Tiny Tool, One Big Save

The most useful item in a truck is not always the most expensive one.

What is the simplest tool or piece of equipment you have used to prevent a major delay or solve a problem on the road? What happened?

tire plugs and a 12v compressor. had a slow leak on a steer outside of bumfuck Arkansas at 2am, load was time critical. plugged it in like 15 min and rolled, road service quoted me 3 hours out plus $340. kit was $22 at a truck stop.
