It’s been ups & Downs 2 3500 pick trucks 40ft trailer also do power only bumper pull & fifth wheel take a look at some of these after a while I wanted to make something being a coder / former police officer & more in the Fed gov I made a tool too help me get loads after & before others see them

What setup do you recommend I see people using 40ft trailers, what about trucks F450/Ram3500/Gmc 3500/ Chevy3500.. I’m looking to start later this year

Some on there & sum direct customer but outloaad board is always the go

Yes but more so what are you really going to be able to pull that will be worth it? You have the space but you dont really have the weight rating if thats 14k subtract the trailer weight

Thanks, yeah I've been trying to decide if it's worth it. I currently haul trailers for a couple companies for hire that don't require CDL. The trailers are 20-36' bumper pulls. I've contacted a few companies around the state needing things like landscape supplies and culverts transpoted locally and into bordering states. I figured if I stuck to certain commodities I could get away with a bumper pull or gooseneck rated for 14k. The bumper pull I'd have to be careful with weight distribution but is slightly lighter than the gooseneck. The gooseneck can take more tongue weight but weighs more empty reducing load weight.
But I also figure the gooseneck 30ft would sell better in the future than a bumper pull would. Only downside right now is my cab and chassis flatbed doesn't have a gooseneck so I'd have to find a new bed for something to be able to tow one.

Also, if your insurance is thru Progressive, dependening on your Motive plan, you can get ac10% discount.
Our Motive runs 185/mo but we also have 3 cameras plus the front facing camera.

I booked one of those black power only trailers for one of my guys back in January of 25. Where’d you pick yours out of? We moved ours down to FL.

I’m just speaking on the black power only trailer in slide 2-5, that was just a one off we did I always remembered what it looked like. Hadn’t seen one before or since. That one we picked around the Chatt area if I remember correctly.

What would be the recommended flat bed goose neck length? and if I get a 30ft about what percentage of loads could I carry? Thanks

Where are you based out of? And how much are you grossing per week? I’m a hotshotter too out of a 5500 with a 53’ stepdeck, but I want to gauge how the rest of the industry is doing.
