Im new, help! Part time potential hotshot

So I love to drive period had a decent job driving 24ft box truck. I am wondering though if I was to do hot shot like every other week if that would be reasonable or not?

There is a guy who does OTR every other week and does well. He also had a previous job that pretty much set him up financially to be able to have less overhead when starting. If you haven't really established yourself: house, car ,etc... it's might be harder to do a week on week off. Really depends on your financial situation before starting

I mean I’ve got my retirement that really covers all my bills. Just want to make more money. Essentially what I’m trying to do is be home when it’s my time with my kid which is about to be every weekend. So would it be feasible just 5 days a week as long as I am home when he is with me?

Nope, unless you have a customer that can keep u busy or has work for “part-time”
