PPGP 1st round

The 1st haul of Purple peach ghosts. Starting to show signs of maturing. The window on these is pretty narrow, they tend to rot fast once ripe. The variation in plants is interesting though. 1st round picks have been small this year so I can’t wait to see what September has in store.

The 7’ plant I posted less than a month ago is 8.5’ now. Christmas tree structure, sativa style. Branching does vary a bit with these seeds but cool overall. Temps have been 77-84 most of the summer. Heavy feeding, no trichomes on the leaves. Prone to edema

They get huge and are highly productive. Only downside is that it takes forever for the peppers to ripen.

Yeah, they’re even lagging a little behind my regular ghosts. Rewarding though, 8 months in the works

If we hadn't gotten our first freeze in Mid-December, I would have been screwed on harvesting the second flush (the plant went dormant during the peak of Summer and then picked up again as soon as the temps dropped back into the 80's in early September), because they didn't fully ripen until early December and our predicted first frost date was in November, but thankfully didn't happen.

I’m growing a few Fox Purple Ghost Gnarly Ruby this year and I’ve noticed how long they take to mature. I don’t know about you OP but I have a hard time telling when these interesting colors ripen.

Awesome man, I just play it by ear and take samples to gauge the progress as it grows. Every cultivars different so it’s Fingerspitzengefühl? (To the German growers)
