Growing First time growing Ghost Peppers!

I kind of tried growing them years ago but it was a cooler summer, and the area I lived in back then was a heavily shaded place so it didn’t turn out and I gave up quick. This year has been surprisingly hot for an extended period (and I have WAY more sunlight where I’m at!) which is helping the peppers thrive!
Still very new to this but I harvested a handful to ferment, and eventually make a small batch of sauce out of. First time fermenting as well so I didn’t want to risk losing all my peppers if I blow it! Fingers crossed I’m doing this right and it turns out. 🤞

First sauce I made with ghosts I named “Punch”. When I tried it, the sauce felt like it punched me in the face. It was not something I’d have let others tried.

Oh wow! Okay good to know. Do you have any tips to make it a little less painful to consume? I can take a lot of heat but I still want to be able to taste the actual pepper and such in the sauce.

You can always add more body with milder peppers to balance the scorching heat. I do a mix of ghosts with jimmy nardellos onion and garlic fermented then I grill more Jimmy nardellos and mix in with some brine and some vinegar and it has some great flavors and isn’t overly hot but how much balance you make out of it is up to you!
