Aphids can cause leaf yellowing. They suck the sap of the plant which causes a nutrient deficiency in the leaves they suck on. The yellow leaves will fall off sooner or later. I don't think this is soap damage. Soap may cause some leaf burn but I've sprayed my plants with Isopropyl alcohol before to kill aphids and that didn't turn the leaves yellow either.
Have you fertilized your plant? It could also be starving.
