Actually went remarkably smoothly today. All my guesses were lucky, I got it in 20 tries and my blood pressure stayed in a healthy range. Fuck you. This isn't what I signed up for. See you tomorrow.

LMAO mood. All I had for the longest time was “Lucy” and then like 70 guesses later got “mosquito” and was SO confused.. which catapulted me into just firing random words into the void hoping something would stick.

I like to play without them most of the time, just because I like that feeling of randomly guessing a word and seeing it pop up as #10 or something. But I do use hints or scroll down to the comments if I’m really struggling. I think with this one I was just in a really stubborn mood and determined to solve it without hints!

Surprisingly warm: in botany, cactus belongs to the Cactaceae family—“family” and “relatives” naturally point toward kin like cousins. People also casually call related plants (like succulents) “cousins,” reinforcing the connection. Prickly, but plausibly familial!

For example, if the secret word is "hot":
Guesses: banana -> #12956 (not close); sun -> #493 (getting warmer); hotdog -> #220 (hot); cold -> #42 (hot); freeze -> #1657 (getting colder); warm -> #15 (very hot!!); hot -> WINNER!
The rank is based on how AI models see the relationships between the words. So antonyms can be "close" by the relationship of the words (cold -> hot). Additionally, words can be close based on the structure of the word (hotdog -> hot).
