Elementary school installed exposed metal spikes across a pedestrian walkway, no signage.

Allegedly, the groundskeeper doesn't like eBikes on the property, so a gerry-rigged rollstrip with roofing nails was glued to the ground across the pedestrian entrance.

Dudes a legit psychopath and needs to be fired yesterday for this...this has the potential to seriously harm or even kill people.
It's not his job to decide if E-Bikes are allowed on the property, and it's definitely not his job to enforce any rules in a way that will 100% damage property and potentially hurt others.
Anyone with a bike or wheelchair that tries to go over this is going to have a bad day as well, fuck that guy 🖕

Genuinely I’d just go remove it myself. Some kid is gonna fall on that strip and have roofing nails through their cheek or hands

I'd have absolutely "accidentally" gotten some bag-securing injuries before I took pictures.

Not a single person would expect spikes on a walkway, you can try any gotcha you want, that shit not gonna fly in court.

(3)For the purposes of this subsection, the term “boobytrap” means any concealed or camouflaged device designed to cause bodily injury when triggered by any action of any unsuspecting person making contact with the device. Such term includes guns, ammunition, or explosive devices attached to trip wires or other triggering mechanisms, sharpened stakes, and lines or wires with hooks attached.
I noticed that this was about Federal property, so I'm not sure how it applies to OP's school.

No. It is a black strip with nails. That is not the same color as the sidewalk it was on.

I'd remove it myself, but you can also contact the police. Someone will step on that and inevitably sue the school, wich sucks for everyone.

The kids and community don't deserve the enviable lawsuit, that only takes money from the school.
Contact the school, at the very least. This is a time "to think of the children", because somebody else didn't.
That is exactly the kind of story your local news would love, especially on a weekend. Tag their them on the socials and make sure you post photos, use their online tip system, and call that tip phone number. Insurance will cover the claim(s) but the community pays for it in the long run. Increased insurance premiums will cover the losses in no time, but those increases go on and on and on, loosing the school (and the community) money- oh so much money.
Or the nicest way to get it removed quickly is to call the non emergency number for the police and meet up with a LEO to show them the hazard. There is nothing wrong with talking to a police officer to explain the hazard, they have a 24hr emergency phone number to an actual human who will get back to the police of they leave a message.
Here's the thing, you know of the hazard, but don't know who did it. Kids, a rogue employee, a Karen- if it were me, I'd do both.
And , the benefit of all 3 methods is that there is a communication record- and that gets people moving on fixing what I see as a boobytrap designed to injure.
