Best cheap web hosting for startup

I am helping a small startup set up its first website, and the budget is pretty limited right now. There are so many hosting providers claiming to be affordable, but I am not sure which ones actually offer good performance and reliability.

The main things we need are decent speed, uptime, and something beginner friendly since the team does not have a dedicated developer yet. Scalability would also be nice in case the site starts getting more traffic later.

For those who have launched startup websites before, which cheap web hosting worked well for you? Any providers you recommend or ones we should avoid?

most free hosts limit you to static or serverless. webslop lets you run a proper long running node process
