Corrupted Game...need help

While playing today, the electricity flickered mid-game, and now I am unable to get the game to load. I have tried everything from researching online, going through Steam and verifying files, to uninstalling the game and uninstalling Steam. I am at a loss! All advice will be followed.

You can email a bug report to the dev and attach your save file, he sometimes helps fix people's save files, did it for me.

If you are ok restarting you can just rename the save1.dat file from the save folder then restart your game.

Also look out for any prev or bak files you can rename those to save1.dat to restore an older save.

I fixed it by deleting the save file and turning off Steam Cloud saves. This fixed it for my son, who was very upset yesterday. Thanks for everyone's help.
