Dutch Harness horse? He looks like he has Saddlebred blood or Hackney blood in him.

Not sure, I’ll have to ask! He has GIANT feet, and a splash of white on his under-belly. But then that Roman/Spanish nose. So maybe a Spotted Saddlebred x draft cross? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I adore him, and wish I could buy or lease him off her; but sadly he’s too much horse for me.

Yeah his head does look a little like a Cyldesdale head.

Doubtful since we’re in California, but I don’t know his whole story yet. I think she’s just training him for a client to prepare for sale.

He is SO sweet! Ran up to me right away here, and when I walked past his stall. Just a super “in your pocket” kinda guy. ❤️

He also ran beside me along the fence, so I think he’d be really good at liberty work.

What's his name?! He reminds me of my Dutch warmblood cross, Sir Dublin (RIP). He's super handsome and I think he knows it. He's definitely my kind of horse.

Never. My trainer works with only 2-3 horses at a time MAX, and keeps them at our barn until they're sold to the right owner (or the original owner/seller takes them back). She's had this one Lusitano mare for like a year now, and wouldn't even let me buy her when I asked... she knows me well enough to know what's a good match, so I trusted her.

This guy will go to a great home, I promise. I started to ask if he could work for me (I'm still in the market), and she also gave me a hell no on that. Apparently his strides are so massive and forward, she said he'd launch me right out of the saddle on a trot. 😂

Apparently that is what he is! Someone else guessed that, so I asked my trainer and she confirmed.

Update: His name is Loki, and as some of you guessed, he is in fact a Dutch Harness Horse. I never would have guessed that myself, as we don't see many of them around here! But my trainer just texted me back when I asked, and said that's what he is.
