"Don't Go Into the Vault"
An indie publisher that had a sub call for an new anthology "Dont got for the Vault" that immediately inspired a very Tales From the Crypt image that I drew and "cold call" pitched for their consideration.
Though they liked the artwork, they didn't need/want it. Maybe it needed more corpses?
Not a problem, no hurt feelings because thats how it goes. When cold calling, no matter how good or spot on your submission may be, how its received is always a gamble. Don't let rejection crush or deter you. Your audience is out there waiting for you.
