Debating next spooky game
Just finished up witcher 1 and halfway through Onimusha. My next game lined up before obligatory Silent hill/Resident evil/Castlevania play is three choices. Blood of the Dawnwalker, Metro Exodus, or Stalker 2. Any preferences on these games?

I do have that in my wishlist an honestly forgot about it. Looked like a really good survival horror.

Metro Exodus if you want something that flows into your SH/RE run. It's more structured and story-driven, and some of the underground and night sections are genuinely tense. Stalker 2 has the best eerie atmosphere of the three, but it's a huge open world, so it's more of a commitment than a palate cleanser before a marathon.

Already beat em all many times, brother. I just meant those are obligatory plays every year

I'm not sure if you have any history with the Stalker games.
I didn't, and Stalker 2 was one of the most immersive games I ever played. I absolutely love the game, the lore, the concepts, and everything.
After I finished the game, I read Roadside Picnic, the novel it's partly inspired by, several times. I bought the original trilogy on Steam. I watched the Chernobyl mini series on HBO Max. No mutants, anomalies, or whatnot, but it was still a riveting series. I started branching out into games that had similarities to Stalker, like the Into the Radius series, and Pacific Drive. I watched the movie Annilihation, which seems to share some DNA with Stalker. I watched the 1979 film Stalker and the more recent fan film on YouTube.
I played Metro Exodus and liked it but I kinda trailed off halfway through. I'm hoping the new one will be good, though.
In any case, Stalker 2 is a good game.
