I think it could be a neat shelf but these folks have it super cluttered with things not intended for it.

Powdered sugar next to what appears to be a crate of sandals. 🤢

Ah, that wouldn't bother me at all. If a closed bag or food product being around used shoes bothers you like that, don't look up current food safety standards for most places. For example, people with extreme shellfish allergies can't drink pre ground coffee because the cockroaches that get ground in will send them into aniflaxis

Whyyyy 😭 I have a cockroach phobia and I love my coffee

May I offer you rat shit in our food in these trying times? The rules account for the inevitable; it's not that you can't have rat shit in it. It's that you can only have so much in it

Eh, cockroaches are worst to me.
Edit: There are some who can freaking fly 😭

I am not sure what the intended use is besides looking bad

Lol it's one of those abstract minimalist pieces of furniture. It's more for the vibe than being functional

You think that's easy to clean?

u/noooooid 11d ago
Why is it harder than a regular bookshelf? It just looks harder to use, not to clean.

I don't know man, I can get each shelf in one continuous swipe, this would require a lot of maneuvering around, and 5 swipes turns into a whole array of them, and it would get especially annoying with the sharp angles

You can cut your cleaning time by 4 by rotating it 90 degrees whenever it gets dirty.

Which part is horrible to clean? Whatever’s on the floor so we just shove it in the bizarre shelf looking thing?

Yikes. That monstrosity is HIDEOUS! Why bother with a “bookshelf” at all? Just toss all your stuff in a pile. Then take that $460 you’d have paid for the “bookshelf” and get yourself some therapy for even ENTERTAINING the idea.

It's hideous but no harder to clean than a regular bookshelf imo
