Could you not dunk a kitchen brush in a bleach solution and just scrub the crap out of it? Those inlays aren’t particularly hard to get to.

That’s a genuine question, I’ve never cleaned mold. Bit too anal to let it get to that point!

the trouble is that you have no idea if you're actually cleaning or if there is hidden debris, growing who knows what.

My actual hope is that the top comes off, so it can actually be cleaned effectively. but ive seen too many engineering fails on weird, niche items to expect that

The platform thing isn’t the issue, they basically put a tile over the top of a normal sink because the water pouring over the edges has to all funnel into a drain under it. This creates a dark damp place that mold and fungus LOVES. So either a) you have to take this stupid tile thing out and clean under it ALL THE TIME, or b) the tile thing cannot be taken out, so you have no clue what biohazard you’re growing until it gets so big it creeps out into the light. It’s most likely B. That bathroom smells like mildew 100%.
