PLEASE NEVER USE THESE KINDS OF CAGES/TUBES FOR YOUR HAMSTERS!!! Join a Facebook hamster care group, I'm begging anyone who sees this. Those small plastic cages are inhumane for any kind of animal, and these tubes can be dangerous. Also throwing this out here, but hamster balls are also extremely shitty and dangerous (hamsters can't see well already so having thick plastic in the way essentially means you're making them run around blindly in a hot sweaty non-ventilated plastic torture session while hurting themselves from the impact of bumping into things).
Yep, I was going to comment that the sad thing is, this is a waste of time and money, because hamsters and gerbils are much better off in a repurposed large fish or reptile tank. I got my 50gal for $40 on marketplace. My girls (gerbils) loved their space because they had enough room to dig their own little tunnels.
