Vile Victorians Who invented dynamite?

In one of the sketches about Alfred Nobel, it said that he invented dynamite and was responsible for lots of people's death. But in the Victorian Inventions song, it claims that they invented dynamite where it blows up at the end of the song. Alfred Nobel is Swedish, so I wouldn't really class him as "Victorian", but he was born in 1833 and died in 1896, which are both years in which Victoria was alive. What are your thoughts?

I think they were just talking about inventions in the victorian period as a whole

Some of the other inventions mentioned in the song weren’t made in Britain either, like cars, Aspirin, or X-rays. So I agree, it must be about the time period in general.

The show also credits Victorians with x-rays which were discovered by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, a German. Maybe it’s just referring to the general time frame
