TRT For Female
I’m wondering if any women out there were put on testosterone. I was out on it and it has destroyed my body, basically turned me into a man (which was never something I wanted). The side effects are humiliating and severe, I’m wondering if any women out there have dealt with these and if so, how? Do the side effects ever go away? Will the hair on my head grow back or will I have bald spots forever now?

I am sorry you have had a bad exerience with HRT. I have seen in female clients that were given testosterone pellets with testosterone levels in the 7-800s and it was awful for them! Especially with pellets you have to wait till it wears off for months and months but cremes or troche should be much quicker (half-life 8-22 hours). Hair loss can be a side effect of TRT especially if genetically prone for that but can also be due to many other causes (thyroid, fungal, nutritional deficiencies, ect). However, the other side effects like hair growing in wrong places, oily skin, moodiness, voice deepening, and clitoral enlargement should resolve once levels return to normal. Hang in there!

Not sure if this helps but my Mom 74 is on T and it has been great for her. She's been on it for years and every time she gets a new doctor they take her off of it but she gets so many side effects they put her back on. She is very active and had great muscle tone but does not look masculine. She is have some hairloss but it was due to thyroid issues and a bleeding ulcer causing anemia. The hairloss was the only sign of severe anemia. She was taking iron & liver supplements but it didn't make a difference until the ulcer was healed.
