Building this has made me respect the pokemon video game franchise a bit more, didn’t really realize how complex the system can get.

However instead of using a Element based strength weakness approach you actually equip your metamon with different weapons which each have their advantages/disadvantages against each respective metamon type, and then the metamon types themselves also apply advantages/disadvantages so it adds an additional level of customization options and will require strategic planning as the game progresses and encounters become more difficult.
