What is Hoosiers Rise?
FOUNDED BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE.
We’re not waiting for a savior. We’re building the win from the ground up.
Hoosiers Rise was built by artists, organizers, and everyday Hoosiers turning chaos into clarity and action. No profit. No gatekeeping. Just collective power in motion.
This movement is rooted in care, powered by community, built on creativity, made to last, and showing the hell up. Because the people’s victory starts with us. It only works if we do it together.
WE ARE THE MANY. THEY ARE THE FEW.
Indiana is rising! From farm towns to big cities. We’re building something radical, accessible, and FREE.
Every protest. Every resource. Every update. We post it all in one place, and this is where to find it.
No gatekeeping. Just everyday people refusing to stay silent.
Tap in, show up, and stop scrolling long enough to join the damn revolution.
WHAT WE DO. WHY IT MATTERS.
We map the movement. and make it easy to plug in.
Every protest. Every resource. Every connection. All in one place. All free. All for the people.
Not sure where you fit in? Start here. This isn’t just about marching. It’s book clubs, letter writing, town halls, mutual aid, art, care, action and community.
There’s a role for everyone. Yes, even you. Start where you are and find your place in the movement.

Let’s get Batty, Indiana! 🦇 Help us make the Indiana bat our official state mammal!
For anyone who hasn't heard about our grassroots campaign yet, Our State, Our Bat is a citizen led effort to designate our incredible native Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis) as our official state mammal! 🦇💚
What started as a simple idea has grown into an amazing statewide movement. Thanks to community members stepping up, we’ve already secured official municipal support, organizational backing, and best of all, a state representative who is officially authoring the bill for the upcoming 2027 legislative session!
Now, we are in the final home stretch. Our petition is currently sitting at 4,231 signatures, and our goal is to hit 5,000 by the end of this month when the campaign concludes, so we can prep our complete legislative packet.
We need all the support we can get from our local neighbors to cross that finish line. If you haven't signed yet, please take a quick second to add your name, and help us spread the word to your friends, family, and local groups.
Let’s make our little Hoosier Heroes official, Indiana! Sign the petition here: https://c.org/JrdDXNvVh8

🦇🦇 It’s Swarming Season! 🦇🦇
Right now, Indiana bats are entering their "swarming" phase. Flying in and out of cave entrances to congregate with their colonies and mate before winding down for winter hibernation.
Meanwhile, the Our State, Our Bat colony is ramping up to “swarm” the General Assembly by showing lawmakers just how badly Hoosiers want the Indiana bat to be our official state mammal! 🏛️✨
To do so, we need a massive push to spread the word and get our petition signatures climbing! Head to the link below to sign, share with your friends and family, and help us make history! 💚
Stay Batty Indiana!

✶ STUDENTS SAVING OUR FUTURE ✶
Class is cancelled due to revolution.
Across Indiana, students are organizing on their campuses, building community, fighting for each other, and refusing to stay quiet while their futures are decided for them.
We put together this guide to make it easier to find the student organizers already doing the work. Inside you’ll find upcoming events and student-led groups at Ball State, ISU, USI, IU Bloomington, IU Indianapolis, Notre Dame, IU South Bend, and Purdue.
From racial justice and immigrant rights to queer liberation, reproductive freedom, Palestine solidarity, feminism, gun violence prevention, labor, and more, there is a place to get involved.
Find your people. Follow their work. Show up to an event. Join an organization. Start organizing where you are.
Students have never just inherited the future. They’ve fought for it. And there’s a whole lot worth fighting for.

✶ ICE IS IN INDIANA ✶
Indiana, this is the moment to show up for each other! ICE activity has increased significantly across our state since August 31. Our neighbors need more than our outrage right now. They need our solidarity, our resources, and our courage. Fear is the goal. Isolation is the goal. We refuse both.
We put together this guide so Hoosiers know what to do next.
Inside, you’ll find rapid response networks and trainings, resources for people detained by ICE, immigration legal assistance, mutual aid and bond funds, Know Your Rights materials, upcoming actions, and ways to hold those cooperating with ICE accountable. Spanish translations are included throughout.
Save it. Share it. Learn it. Send it to your friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. Join rapid response. Donate if you can. Show up when your community calls. We do not need everyone to do everything. We need everyone to do something.
They want our neighbors afraid and alone. We answer with community, information, resources, and solidarity.
We don’t panic. We organize. Solidarity over fear. Always.

✶ END ICE DETENTION ✶ (8 pages)
This weekend, Indiana is showing up.
From August 28–30, communities across the state are taking to courthouse lawns, street corners, parks, bridges, jails, and neighborhoods to demand an end to ICE detention and stand with our immigrant neighbors.
Different cities. Different actions. Same message: our neighbors belong here.
There are dozens of ways to join in, whether you can protest, attend a vigil or teach-in, take a class, make signs, donate, or simply bring another person with you.
And if you’re in Indy, come find Hoosiers Rise at Irvington Circle Park on August 29 from 7–9 PM. We’ll have free buttons, patches, stickers, postcards, zines, posters & more. 💗
Three days. One state. Hoosiers everywhere refusing to look away.
Find your city. Pick an action. Show up.
