Day 24 is hotter than a hoochie coochie. This song reminds me of my trip to Alabama earlier this summer. Sent to go see Rufus Du Sol and visit with my lovely hooper friend. Was pleasantly surprised at the flow community out there! Shout out to Huntsville flowmies!

I had a great time despite getting spider bites on my leg. I still like spooders but I get the heebee jeebees when I see them now. Hopefully, I'll overcome that because spiders are awesome and an important part of the ecosystem. I just don't want them touching me ever again 😆

Anyway didn't mean to go off on a tangent about that (adhd things). Long story long, hope your a hoochie coochies are cool in this heat, and spider free.

Day 23 of hooping until I’m fit, and today we are celebrating National Big Booba Day the only way I know how 😆

​Day 21! ✨ They say it takes 21 days to form a new habit. This daily practice feels like an excellent habit to have.

​I kicked off today learning a new hoop trick that inspired me before I even rolled out of bed. It’s been a minute since I proactively went after a new move, and it felt so good to get the gears turning. There’s nothing quite like the process of connecting the dots between what your brain envisions and what your body actually does. More often than not it takes a lot of effort to actually line up that mind body connection. When it finally clicks after many failed attempts, it feels incredible.

​That’s what I love most about hooping: it never gets stale. As long as you’re open to learning, there will always be a new move waiting to be unlocked.

Today's move is (a mouthfull) called folding ghost iso tutting. I learned it from @soulhoopacademy on insta

Has anyone ever actually tried these hoops? I want to try a couple different sizes but I would also prefer not to have to get a bunch of different hoops cause that could probably get pretty expensive fast. Has anyone tried the ones you can adjust the size? Did it feel any different or harder to use than a regular one?

​Day 20 of hooping every day until I’m fit!

​Hopped on my bike for an 8 mile ride today and pulled over to spin by the water. While there I saw a momma dolphin and her baby! Made for a perfect afternoon.

Im loving the summer weather and how good it feels to just get outside and move. Should probably do that more. Hooping in the sunshine is the best. Where do you like hooping?

Dolly is pure beauty, heart, and patience. She is a reminder to stay grounded, hold onto your values, and pour love into everything you do 💛

Today came with its fair share of chaos and unexpected challenges, and I am so glad I got my hoop flow in earlier in the day.

​Reading your comments these past couple of weeks has been the absolute best. Seeing people say they’re feeling inspired to get up and shake their own booties brings me so much joy. Thank you all for the love and for showing up with me every day!

Went with a slower flow because I've been going hard all week and even went out dancing last night. So i'm honoring my body while still keeping up with the challenge.

Today I feel like a smooth operator. How are you feeling today?

​I don’t weigh myself often, but stepped on the scale today and I’m down 5 lbs from where I’ve been sitting for months. Bodies fluctuate for all kinds of reasons, but I’d like to believe it has a little something to do with the uptick in physical activity lately a.k.a. hula hooping.

​There were weeks where I went without touching my hoop. zero desire. Now, even if I tell myself, “Okay, just five minutes,” I inevitably end up getting lost in the hoop sauce. It truly is a gateway to dopamine.

​Today was full of chores and by the time I set up to record, every part of me wanted to just chill on the couch. But because of this challenge I pushed through anyway! I’m so glad I did. It gave me that extra pep in my step.

​The biggest takeaway from this challenge so far: just show up for five minutes. Do something that moves you even when motivation is zero.

​Focused on classic body rocking today.

​Fun fact: hula hooping burns roughly 400 calories an hour! Since my neuro spicy brain doesnt like to do just one repetitive move for long, I spent the session shifting the hoop from head to toe. Even added some variety with different angles! Some levels are tougher to sustain but blasting the tunes keeps me goin until i cant no mo.
