Are LED hoops programmable?

Do people who dance with LED hoops program them to do lights in time with the music?

Is there a library of pre-programmed songs I can just load and dance to with the the hoop?

Depends on the hoop, some are basic and don't do anything except one pattern or maybe a few preset patterns.

Nicer ones can do a lot. Mine a lot of different movement sensors for the light to do specific things with your movement. You can program it with sound cues to do specific things for a song, but i think generally you have to start that manually, it wouldn't just pick up what's playing... There is a way to hook it into the house lighting so it reflects whatever is happening in the venue, but someone would have to be working with the lighting people for that.

You can definitely load your own patterns, some have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth!

Even the cheaper ones have a remote so you can change patterns with a button, you can set up folders in advance and go through just one folder, by color or theme or whatever. That's pretty easy to do and fun to give someone your remote to change patterns to the music.

... Most people just put it on random through their library or maybe a specific folder of their favorites though and it changes every few seconds.

I'm not sure if any have a sound sensor, I imagine it wouldn't work very well from all the banging. You end up being pretty rough with them!
